    Position Overview:

    The Academic Intervention Lead is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of academic intervention programs within the school or district. This role involves guiding a team of academic interventionists to ensure effective support for students who require additional academic assistance. The Intervention Lead collaborates with educators, administrators, and parents to promote student achievement and address learning gaps through targeted interventions.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    · Program Development and Management: Design and oversee academic intervention programs, including setting goals, developing intervention strategies, and evaluating program effectiveness.

    · Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support academic interventionists, providing direction, training, and professional development opportunities.

    · Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret student performance data to identify students' needs, track progress, and adjust intervention strategies. Prepare and present reports on intervention outcomes.

    · Collaboration: Work closely with department leads, teachers, administrators, and parents to integrate intervention strategies

    · Resource Allocation: Manage resources, including materials, to ensure the effective delivery of intervention programs.

    · Compliance and Standards: Ensure that intervention programs comply with district, state, and federal regulations, and align with educational standards and best practices.

    · Student Advocacy: Advocate for the academic needs of students requiring interventions, ensuring they receive appropriate support and accommodations.

    · Professional Development: Stay current with educational research, best practices, and emerging trends in academic interventions and share knowledge with the intervention team and other stakeholders.

    · Problem Solving: Address challenges and obstacles in the implementation of intervention programs, working collaboratively to find solutions that enhance student learning outcomes.

    Knowledge and Skills

    · Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, county and city statues, rules, policies, and procedures

    · Instructional expertise in the prevention and remediation of academic difficulties

    · Specialized knowledge of scientifically based research

    · Ability to model and articulate best instructional practices

    · Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in data analysis and a thorough understanding of educational assessment tools and intervention strategies.

    Minimum Qualifications

    · Must hold current teaching certificate issued by the Arizona Department of Education

    · Three years of Successful teaching experience preferred

    Other requirements

    · Must be able to pass a fingerprint and background clearance check

    · May be required to work outside normal working hours

    · May be required to travel to perform work functions
