Here’s Why Our Administrators Love Working Here
Peoria Unified is home. It is a family of staff and students who care about each other and want to see our students excel. It is a great place to work and build long lasting friendships.Mike Treguboff
If our mission is to help every student meet their full potential, then we must make this a priority to help our educators as well. In Peoria Unified, we are proud of the professional development we offer each year to help make this possible for our educators. Each year through our District’s Professional Learning Communities, School Based professional development days as well as District level professional development days that align specifically to an educator’s content area, our Peoria educators receive more than 50 hours of support each year! Whether this takes place at their school or among colleagues, this time creates opportunities for educators to collaborate, grow and develop their own professional practices so they can be the best for their students.Robert Panzer | Arts Education Director
Peoria Unified School District is a place I call home. It is a district that truly cares about what matters most; their people.Bridget Stockwell | Principal, Sahuaro Ranch
I watched the District grow since 1975, from one high school and two elementary schools to what it is today. I started as a bus driver and custodian, was a teacher and principal at both the high school and elementary levels. And yes did my time as the Administrator for Auxiliary Services at the District level. I’ve worked at 3 of our high schools and 6 elementary schools. What makes me happiest is the memory of all the kids we have helped along their way and the fellow Peoria Unified educators that put kids first even the challenging ones. This is a District of nurturers and caregivers that has always put the needs of kids first. I’m presently the Behavior Counselor at the Peoria Flex Academy, with a former student as my principal and couldn’t be happier.Val Barrett | Behavior Counselor, Peoria Flex Academy
