    Supervisor: Director for CTE

    Term of Employment: 12 months

    Salary Classification: 13

    Job Summary: Performs a variety of moderate administrative and secretarial support functions for the CTE department.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES generally include the following:

    • Performs a variety of clerical and secretarial functions as needed in the position to support the PUSD CTE Strategic Plan, its programs, and the leadership team, including placing, screening & forwarding telephone calls
    • Schedules a variety of meetings, conferences, interviews, in-services, workshops, and other activities
    • Arranges meeting sites and handles logistical requirements. Makes travel arrangements as needed
    • Prepares agendas, presentations, and informational packets for the department
    • Coordinates the CTE department calendar
    • Maintains department’s portal, website, and social media for regular communication with both internal and external stakeholders
    • Coordinates a variety of ad hoc or special projects
    • Maintains, updates, and creates files, records, and databases for assigned programs or department
    • Schedules employment interviews and conducts reference checks for department
    • Maintains and edits timesheets for department
    • Maintains, updates, and creates files, records, and databases for the CTE department, including, CTE advisory board members, CTE teacher certification, and CTE stipend tracking & inventory tracking
    • Processes and monitors a variety of agreements, contraction and applications within the CTE dept.
    • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

    • Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, county and city statutes, rules, policies and procedures.
    • Knowledge of applicable Peoria Unified School District and departmental policies and procedures.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with skills in word processing, spreadsheets and data bases.
    • Attention to detail, thoroughness and follow-through are critical.
    • Courtesy and professionalism at all times.
    • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective communications and working relationships with co-workers, former students, their parents or family members, vendors, the general public, and others having business with the school district.
    • Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of hardware, software applications and peripheral office equipment.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    A High School Diploma or GED, AND two (2) years of administrative and secretarial experience in a professional office; OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be able to pass a fingerprint and background clearance check.
    • Must be able to work outside normal working hours.
    • May be required to possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license.
