    Supervisor: Director for CTE
    Term of Employment: 186 days, with 35 extra days to be scheduled upon hire
    Salary Classification: Certified

    Job Summary: The position is responsible for CTE program management including the delivery of the Total CTE Program Model, managing curriculum development, providing support in the maintenance of educational programs and services, as well as, maintenance of training programs and services

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES generally include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
    • Supports the Total CTE Program Model in all CTE programs including teacher certification, laboratory management, safety/risk management, work-based learning, CTSO co-curricular implementation, inventory management, budget processes, CTSO trainings, teacher conferences, industry certifications implementation, travel, academic integration, dual enrollment programs, stackable credentials and programs of study, and ensuring grant alignment requirements.
    • Collaborates with the district CTE team to support the strategic goals of the CTE Dept. that are in alignment with the Peoria Unified strategic plan
    • Maintain a working knowledge of industry and post-secondary trends
    • Provides training, resources, and assists with all aspects of curriculum development, instructional practices, and implementation of a variety of assessments.
    • Ensures vertical alignment of all CTE programs into and out of high school.
    • Implements goals for CTE recruitment/retainment, both with students and staff
    • Establish a working relationship with industry and post-secondary partners through professional associations, advisory councils, and collaboration with ADE, ACTEaz, WestMEC, and national CTE organizations.
    • Co-facilitate CTE events that involve students, parents, the community and industry and post-secondary partners
    • Analyzes data to evaluate quality CTE programs, makes recommendations for continuous improvement and determines necessary supplies and resources to implement positive changes
    • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
    • Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, county and city statutes, rules, policies and procedures
    • Knowledge of applicable grants management & budget administration
    • Knowledge of Career and Technical Education programs and associations
    • Knowledge of college and other post-secondary pathway opportunities in Arizona
    • Possess project management and problem-solving skills in an educational environment
    • Skill in applying and implementing leadership techniques
    • Skill in interpersonal communications while interacting with supervisors, staff, students, and others
    • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with co-workers, vendors, students, parents, the general public and others having business with the school district.
    • Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software applications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree AND eligibility for an Arizona CTE Teaching Certificate, AND 5 years successful experience as a CTE Teacher OR any equivalent combination of experience and education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
    • Arizona CTE Teaching Certification required
    • Must be able to pass a fingerprint and background check
    • May be required to work outside normal working hours
    • Must have at the time of application and must maintain a valid Arizona driver's license
    • May be required to travel to perform job functions
