    Position Title: LAN ADMINISTRATOR
    Department: IMT Department
    Supervisor: DIRECTOR OF NETWORK OPERATIONS
    Term of Employment: 12 months
    Salary Classification: 16

    Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented LAN Administrator to join our team. This role combines technical expertise in computer repair with responsibilities for managing inventory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware and software issues, as well as experience in inventory management.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES generally include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

    • Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and other computer equipment.
    • Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on computer systems.
    • Manage and maintain inventory of computer parts, tools, and equipment.
    • Track and document inventory levels in inventory system, orders, and deliveries for computer equipment district wide. (i.e. desktops, laptops, projectors, network switching and all other computer equipment)
    • Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions.
    • Manage computer audits as requested across the district.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
    • Provide technical support and assistance to customers and staff.
    • Stay updated with the latest technological trends and repair techniques.
    • Diagnose, service, maintain and perform minor field repairs on Windows computers and related equipment.
    • Acts as 2nd Tier support for all school labs.
    • Recommend and schedule repairs.
    • Responsible for maintenance of the Capital Assets inventory for the district computer assets.
    • Flexible work hours and 24/7 support.
    • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
    • Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, county and city statutes, rules, policies and procedures.
    • Knowledge of applicable Peoria Unified School District and departmental policies and procedures.
    • Knowledge of microprocessor technology, telecommunications, video/data communications, and networking: computer operations; maintenance procedures
    • Experience with inventory management systems and practices.
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
    • Good communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all users and District Staff
    • Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Ability to lift and carry computer equipment and parts.
    • Ability to work in a standing or sitting position for extended periods.
    • Ablity to work indendently and as part of a team.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in computer science or related field experience preferred.
    • Proven experience as a computer repair technician
    • Certifications (Training and/or Certifications Preferred but not required)
      • A+ Certified, Technician
      • Net + Certified Technician
    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Must be able to pass a background check.
    • Must be able to have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
    • Must be able to have and maintain a valid IVP fingerprint clearance card.
